Friday!

This weekend looks to be a good one. Nice weather, plenty of projects to work on, and I’m taking half a day off so I can get an early start. Woohoo!

I won’t be getting out of here early today, due to lingering projects, lingering malaise, and lingering project malaise. However, m y one-year-old nephew is having a birthday party tomorrow. This will not be an introduction to “1yo” sized clothing, as he has been there and beyond for nearly six months. They call him Mr. Baby.

His mom is pretty small, but has stout family members, and my brother is 6'5" and skinny. The small lad appears to have rolled for size and had the dice come up Beefy.

After that, a birthday shindig for a longtime family friend and his dad, culminating in an evening with whiskey.

That’s t he funniest thing I’ve read all week. One of my wife’s favorite pastimes is figuring who got what features from whom in the family. My son is a string-bean, several inches taller than me and built like my wife’s mother’s side of the family. My daughter is built more like my mother’s side of the family. Both kids have small features that appear on the other side of the family. Genetics are funny that way.
